The Greater Chattanooga Realtors recently raised more than $64,500 for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga during its fundraiser Tee Up & Wind Down at WindStone Golf Club. The biennial event involves a golf scramble and live auction of donated items, according to a news release.

"Our Realtors give back to the community in so many ways, and this donation is another example of that," Steven Sharpe, president of the professional group, said in the release. "I'm so grateful to all the volunteers, golfers and sponsors who made this event such a resounding success."

Jens Christensen, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga, said the nonprofit is grateful for the Realtors partnership.

"Homeownership is a dream for so many," he said in the release. "By extending its support to Habitat, Greater Chattanooga Realtors empower lower income families to escape generational poverty and build wealth through homeownership, impacting families for years to come."

Greater Chattanooga Realtors, founded in 1912, is a regional organization with more than 2,700 members who serve Hamilton and Sequatchie counties in Southeast Tennessee and Catoosa, Dade, and Walker counties in Northwest Georgia.
