John Miller, director of Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services, recently presented a check to the CHI Memorial Foundation for $4,240 in support of the MaryEllen Locher Scholarship Fund.

EMS staff members sold 420 T-shirts to support the charitable mission of the MEL Scholarship Fund.

"This year is even more special because my wife is currently battling cancer and appreciates this wonderful facility and doctors who are taking excellent care of her," Miller said.

The fund provides scholarships to children who have lost a parent to breast cancer, have a parent who is a breast cancer survivor or have a parent undergoing treatment.
